The blog site link to open it, but if it is not like most cake layer with a variety of ways to put between the layers. Add ice would work, and certainly tasted good. the only consideration is whether it is too fluid and remains between the layers. If you stop for ice cream to make a thin frame around the edge of the first layer to keep the caramel or candy
